How our journey began
In 2016, we travelled to Ghana for the first time as a family.
This pivitol moment gave us all a sense of purpose and meaning.
It opened up the gates of love and compassion, and we realised that we could bring HOPE to people.
We can't help everyone but we can help the one and that one can go and change their family and possibly release them from poverty.
God's challenge to his people is to recognise who our neighbour is, and we are to help those who are in need.
We realised that we could help people with our skills, character and desire that He has given us.
Since 2016 we have ..........
We have been sponsoring children to give them an education through Primary and Junior High School.
We were able to bring the children gifts.
We continued to sponsor children when they left home to attend Senior High School. We brought extra suitcases so they could take their belongings with them.
We realised how important it was to make local connections.
We often found children on the beach as their parents couldn't afford to send them to school. A local man started to play football with them. So we brought over footballs and bibs to support this local initiative.
The children helped to set up the library.
Since 2023 we have been visiting Ghana twice a year.
We have had the privilege of working with and supporting a local school. We were able to send two large boxes of fiction and non-fiction books over to Ghana.
The children helped to bring the books to the library.
It was a blessing to see the children taking themselves to the library to read the books.
The teachers within the school had no practical resources to teach literacy or numeracy so we have resourced seven boxes. These are age specific for each class. The teachers and the children were very excited and grateful.
Children exploring a sample of the maths and literacy resources that we have taken over to support their learning.
Once the library was established we showed each teacher how to support their class with guided reading. We created resources for each class so that the teachers could use these and think about how they could create their own using the guided reading books within the library.
We have held many teacher bonding sessions. We have recognised how important it is to get the staff together and have fun. Also they needed to learn how to play the games before they took them to their classes!
In 2025 we purchased land which now holds our project.
The training units are under construction and one day they will be finished.

The old restaurant has now been converted into a church.

Our journey began because we had compassion for children like these and our adventure will continue by bringing HOPE.
